At some point today, you may notice a moment when your emotional response isn’t aligned with how you want to act. Maybe you want to stay patient, but you feel annoyed. Or you want to feel confident, but self-doubt shows up.
Rather than trying to fix it, just pause and say: “This is my riverbank brain reacting, at one point this was super adaptive. Now, how do I choose what to do next?”

Catch one moment when feeling and intention clash. Pause and tell yourself: "My brain’s reacting. What wise action can I choose now?"
