Now that you’ve learned about the two timelines—the big-picture vision and the daily-picture reality, have a quick think about which one feels more familiar to you. Some of us spend a lot of time imagining the future—setting goals and mapping plans. Others are more grounded in daily experience - getting our day-to-day done, ticking off our tasks in our to-do lists. Both are necessary of course, and this exercise is just about noticing your natural tendency and tilting the scales if a slight rebalance could help.
