Today, you’ll do a simple but eye-opening exercise: audit your feed. Instructions: •Open your favorite social media app. •(And if you’re not on social media—brownie points to you! Seriously, that’s a powerful design choice in itself. You can still do this exercise with other forms of content you engage with—news, entertainment, YouTube, email subscriptions, etc.) •Look at the last 5 posts you engaged with or saved. •For each one, ask: What drew me to this? How did it make me feel in the moment? How did I feel after? Jot your thoughts down, or voice note them. The goal here is not to judge yourself (We already covered in Module 2 that this isn’t a willpower issue—your brain is doing exactly what it evolved to do!). The goal is simply to notice the emotional residue your attention leaves behind. And to realize: you have some control over where to focus it next..
