Module 1: Welcome to the Midlife ResetvideoNaN min
Welcome and Quick Introduction
A quick introduction by Linda Vezzoli which outlines what to expect as you work your way through the content, and how to get the best out of this program.
Key Takeaway
This program is my way of guiding you through perimenopause and menopause with understanding, compassion, and practicality. I created it not as a lecture, but as a real conversation like how I would talk to a client or student. You’ll find short, easy-to-follow video modules, simple actions to try, and reflections that help you reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms. My hope is that you take things one step at a time, focus on what truly matters, and realize that supporting your hormonal health doesn’t have to be complicated just consistent, kind, and aligned with your own rhythm.
Transcript
Hello and welcome to the Midlife Reset, your self-led online program through perimenopause and menopause. I am so happy to see you here, and I thank you for taking this first step to truly understand how to best support yourself during this unique life stage.
Now, I'm Linda Vizzoli. I'm your guide, and I'm honored to take you through this program. I'm really hoping that by working through these modules, you'll learn how to really understand what's going on with your changing hormones at the moment and also to reconnect with your body's rhythms and to learn how to live in a way that honors our unique female physiology.
Hopefully, by the end of this program, you will have built your own unique and bespoke Midlife Reset toolkit.
When I was putting together this program, I was really trying to understand how to best structure it. At first, I had my lecturer hat on and thought, “Oh, I need to create all these slides and diagrams and really explain the physiology.” And yes, it’s okay to nerd out—and if you want to do that, I do have some resources for you.
But then I thought to myself, I'm a midlife woman—very busy as well—and I asked, “What would I want?” So this is how I structured the program. I set it up in video modules that you can also just listen to—there are no slides or anything like that.
I wanted it to feel like I'm talking to you as if you were my client in a clinic session, or if you were a student or a mentee that I'm explaining things to—so kind of casual and informal.
You have these video modules split up into short sections, so you don’t have to sit through hours of me rambling on. Each section is clearly labeled so you can work your way through the modules at your own pace.
Then I have some practical actions I want to suggest after each module. I’ll also be sharing some PDFs with key takeaways, some journaling prompts where relevant, and meal ideas when we get to the nutrition piece.
And if you, like me, are someone who loves to nerd out on the physiology or just wants to dig deeper, I’ve got you as well—I’ll share some of my favorite deeper learning resources.
So how would I suggest that you work your way through the program and get the most out of it? I would say: listen to the modules one at a time. They do build on each other.
While there’s a little bit of “nerding out” at the beginning—understanding the different hormones at play and what happens during perimenopause and menopause—I feel this is key and foundational. Once you understand what’s going on with your body and physiology, a lot of the symptoms make more sense, and my suggestions will too.
We need that foundation to understand how to move forward, but hopefully, it’s not too technical. I’m trying to make it fun and relatable.
While you’re working through the modules, you can take notes or just jot down general reflections—whatever feels right for you.
One thing I really want to highlight: focus on implementing only one or two changes at a time. This is a reset, not a race. We’re not trying to overhaul our whole life at once—we’ve done that before, and it’s never really sustainable.
Focusing on a couple of changes at a time and implementing them consistently will bring the biggest results and shifts.
I’m also hoping that by the end of this program, you’ll realize that optimizing hormonal health is not as complicated as we’ve been led to believe. There are a few simple shifts that can make a massive difference, and I’ll highlight these as we go.
I want you to be kind to yourself—show grace and compassion. We’re already so busy at this stage in our lives. We don’t need to add another million things to our to-do list.
We don’t want to live in a “tick-the-box” way—doing all the right things but in a frenetic, disconnected way. That’s not what we’re here to do.
We’re here to live in alignment, honor our physiology, understand our phases, and support ourselves during this time.
I wanted to preface this before we get started—but I’m ready when you are.
The first module is all about meeting your hormones and understanding the key players in our female physiology, and what to look out for if they’re a little out of balance.
So let’s get started.
Reflection
Before you dive in, take a quiet moment to check in with yourself. What made you want to start this program? What are you hoping to understand, feel, or change in this next chapter of your life?
You might also ask yourself:
What does “supporting myself” mean to me right now?
How do I want to feel as I move through this journey?
Write freely and honestly — there’s no right or wrong answer here. This is your time to pause, set an intention, and begin this journey with awareness and kindness toward yourself.
