Spotting Comparison

Key Takeaway

Comparison is automatic — not a character flaw. By noticing it, you start to take its power away.

Transcript

Notice three moments today when you catch yourself comparing yourself to someone else. It could be someone you see in real life, someone in a film or book, someone on social media. Don’t try to stop it—just notice it. Like spotting a cloud or hearing a bird. Simply name it: ‘Oh, comparison.’ Optional additional questions: •How often did it happen? •Was it tied to certain domains (appearance, success, personality)? •What effect does it have on how you feel about yourself?”

Reflection

Which areas (appearance, success, skills) triggered comparison most? How did it influence your mood?
